It is normal for schools to conduct exam-related activities after the students have sat for their trial examination. Even more so when the actual exam, in this case the SPM examination, is just around the corner.
Some schools would get their students to answer past year questions or questions that they have taken from other states. Others would invite speakers from outside the school to give talks on answering techniques.
SMK Bukit Rokan has made a small request for a workshop on writing to be carried for its students. An additional request is for the workshop to be conducted in a fun environment, mostly because the students have just sat for their trial exam and they needed to do something useful but not too stressful.
A workshop, similar to the one conducted in SMK Tuanku Abdul Rahman earlier this year, was held using mostly 21st Centry teaching and learning techniques. The workshop in SMK Bukit Rokan which was conducted on 14th September 2017, incorporated ideas like All-Write-Round-Robin, Gallery Walk, Timed-Pair-Share including the use of Two-Stars-One-Wish.
